  • "Wireless SSID Broadcast" - enable or disable the broadcasting of the name of your wireless connection (disable broadcasting if you want a more secure network.):
  • 9. Go to the menu "Wireless> Wireless security" and select the method of encryption of transmitted information through the wireless network. It is recommended to set the mode to "WPA2 Personal" or "WPA Personal", if your equipment does not support WPA mode, then set the WEP mode. We highly recommend that you do not leave your wireless network open.

    Configuring WPA2 / WPA encryption:

    • "Security mode" - protection mode (recommended WPA2 / WPA)
    • WPA Algorithms is an encryption algorithm. You can choose between TKIP and AES, and if you install WPA2 then specify TKIP + AES - this will provide the ability to use WPA2 and WPA at the same time.

    • "UPnP" - used by various programs to automatically open ports.
    • Save the settings by clicking the "Save settings".

    14. If you want to use the multicast stream.epn.ru on the local network, you need to go to the "Security - Firewall" menu and uncheck "Filter Multicast" (this will allow multicast packets to be passed from the external network)

Note, the broadcast stream.epn.ru works only on the wired network of the router! Sending over the wireless network can cause the router to reboot or to disconnect wireless clients:

At this point, the configuration of the wireless router is complete. To check the status of the connection, go through the browser to the router and go to the "Status" menu, where the status of the connection to the Internet, local and wireless networks ("Router", "Local Network" and "Wireless" tabs) is displayed.
